The Civil Authority of Nepal has issued a notice regarding runway construction work at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu.  During this period, the airport will be open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, starting November 8, 2024, until March 31, 2025. Runway maintenance will be conducted daily from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

The temporary schedule change is expected to affect both international and domestic flights, with airlines already adjusting their timetables.

This change may lead to:

  • Flight delays or rescheduling, particularly for early morning or late-night flights.
  • Changes in connecting flights, which could disrupt onward travel plans.
  • Limited flight availability due to increased air congestion within the reduced operational hours.

We will be providing more updates as additional information becomes available.
