The Prithvi Highway remains obstructed in Dhading, affecting the usual road connection between Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and western Nepal.
- To manage traffic, the Makwanpur District Administration Office has introduced alternative travel arrangements via Hetauda. Smaller passenger vehicles may travel between Kathmandu and Hetauda via the Bhimphedi–Kulekhani–Pharping route, subject to road conditions and instructions from local authorities.
- Road journeys to Pokhara, Chitwan and western Nepal may therefore involve diversions and longer travel times.
- Domestic flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara, as well as Kathmandu and Chitwan, remain available, subject to airline operations and weather conditions.
- Hotels and tourism services across the country are unaffected and operating normally.

A major road collapse at Krishnabhir in Dhading has temporarily blocked the Kathmandu–Mugling section of the Prithvi Highway in both directions.
- Road travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Chitwan and western Nepal via the usual route is currently disrupted.
- Alternative road arrangements, where safely feasible, are being assessed on a case-by-case basis in consultation with local authorities and our operations team.
- Domestic flights between Kathmandu and Pokhara, as well as Kathmandu and Chitwan, remain available, subject to airline operations and weather conditions.
- Tribhuvan International Airport, hotels and essential tourism services continue to operate normally.

Nepal Remains Open and Safe for Travel
Following our previous update on the flooding in Nepal, the situation remains localized to the affected river corridors, while most of the country remains unaffected and continues to operate normally.
- Major tourism destinations, including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Lumbini, the Annapurna region and the Everest region, remain unaffected and open to visitors.
- Tribhuvan International Airport and domestic flight operations continue to operate.
- Hotels and tourism services across the country are unaffected and operating normally.
We continue to mourn the lives lost and stand with the families and communities affected by this tragedy.

The glacial outburst near the Nepal–China border in Rasuwa district is a deeply unfortunate tragedy. We mourn the loss of lives and fully grasp the severity of the situation.
The flood has affected areas along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river corridors, and authorities have issued high-alert notices for downstream areas including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan.
As a precautionary measure, vehicular movement on the Prithvi Highway has been restricted. Road travel from Kathmandu towards Chitwan, Pokhara, Gorkha, Lamjung and western Nepal is currently affected. The Mugling–Narayanghat road has also been closed due to flood risk along the Trishuli River corridor.
Air travel between Kathmandu and Pokhara, as well as Kathmandu and Chitwan, remains available, subject to airline operations and weather conditions. Airport transfers within Kathmandu, hotels and essential guest services remain operational.
