Set among the foothills of the Aravalli range, roughly 40–45 km north-west of Jaipur in the quaint village of Samode, Samode Palace was originally built in the 16th century as a Rajput fort. Over time it was transformed into a regal palace blending Rajput and Mughal architectural styles, complete with frescoed walls, ornate pillars, mosaic floors, and the famed mirror-lined Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors).
Today the palace operates as a heritage hotel offering 43 rooms and suites, each adorned with antique furnishings, four-poster beds, and traditional décor, yet equipped with modern comforts. Guests can wander through bougainvillea-lined courtyards, admire hand-painted murals, relax by the rooftop pool with views of the Aravalli hills, enjoy spa and wellness services, or savour royal-style Indian and international cuisine in elegant settings.
